The Heligan Timber Summerhouse
Ex 19Mill Shiplap Cladding and T+G Roof and Flooring Boards.
Stability:
ThermoWood is more stable than untreated softwood, being similar to teak. The changes that occur within the timber during heat treatment make it less able to absorb or lose moisture. The moisture content is reduced by more than 50% which in turn increases its stability. This reduces any potential of twist, warp or cupping.
Durability:
Due to improved durability, ThermoWood is an excellent material for exterior use, it has a high resistance to most decay fungi. ThermoWood should be installed in the above ground conditions.
Moisture content:
ThermoWood has a moisture content of 6% plus or minus 2%, which is approximately half of untreated pine.
Emissions:
ThermoWood has a characteristic odour, which is caused by changes occurring during heat treatment, no harmful compounds are released.
Colour:
The colour of ThermoWood is based on the treatment temperature, which is constantly monitored during production, when ThermoWood is exposed to UV light, it will lose its colour and turn a silver grey as untreated pine unless protected by a pigmented protection.
Resin-Free:
Heat treatment removes resin from the timber, therefore there is no resin leakage, giving a more consistent colour and this combined with the improved stability means reduced maintenance.
Strength:
The strength properties decrease during heat treatment process, the flat wise bending properties are regarded to be similar to the strength of C16, ThermoWood is not recommended to be used in load bearing structures.

I'm extremely pleased with my new garden shed from Truro Portable Buildings, and also with their treatment of me as a customer. The shed is a first class product, excellent quality, delivered in a short timescale and erected in about two hours. The process of choosing a design was made easy by quickly-answered phone calls, and the honesty of the management was demonstrated when I was stopped from accidentally over-paying! Great team, great product. - S Ellis
Really happy with my 10x8 pent shed, good quality and easy to self assemble, all fitted together perfectly. Supplier offered good advice and helpful. Would recommend - P Oliver

Terrific building and company. I had a 12x8 Sherman built in August, great to be able to remove the old eyesore from the garden and get sorted again. Great build quality, speed of order was fair and the fitters were timely and no stress. Glad I went for the superior shed from Truro Portable Buildings, I would highly recommend. Very pleased - P Ascott
